Specific Conditions

Skilled nursing care centers continue to see increased numbers of individuals who are in need of special care. Some of these specific conditions are lifelong, while others may be temporary conditions. Many facilities are developing specific care wings, such as Alzheimer's units and cardiac wings. Though not all of the possible conditions are listed on this page, AHCA has many important resources on a variety of specific needs.

Emotional and Behavior Patterns
