AHCA/NCAL is excited to announce the over 450 recipients of a 2012 National Quality Award!
At the Bronze level, 404 organizations were recognized with an award. This is the first step in the Quality Award journey and recognizes that a provider has developed a foundation to begin a journey of continuous quality improvement.
At the Silver level, 54 organizations were recognized with an award. This is the second level in the Quality Award journey and recognizes a significant achievement in the journey towards performance excellence. In an indication of a strengthening commitment to quality care in skilled nursing and post-acute care centers, the Quality Award Program saw success rates of applicants for the Silver award double from 8 percent to 17 percent.
The Gold Award is the last step in the Quality Award journey, and recognizes some of the best providers in long term care. Only 13 organizations have received this award since the program’s inception. AHCA/NCAL is proud to recognize 2012 Gold Quality Award recipients Golden LivingCenter – Continental Manor in Abbotsford, WI and Grand Islander Center, Genesis HealthCare in Providence RI.

The 2012 AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award recipients will be recognized during the Closing General Session of the 2012 Annual Convention and Expo in Tampa, FL on October 10, 2012.
