Walk through the hard work and extensive planning that goes into this grand event when you tour Blaine Kern Studios, an operating workshop that has created breathtaking floats for Mardi Gras and other parades around the world since 1947. Enjoy a mask making session with a Mardi Gras artist.
National World War II Museum
The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American Experience in the war that changed the world. During the 90-minute tour, learn why the war was fought, how it was won, and what is means today. The Museum brings history to life with moving personal stories and powerful interactive displays.
New Orleans School of Cooking
Fee: $139 (12:00pm-3:00pm)
It's here where a talented team of local chefs share their culinary insights while teaching the basics of Louisiana cooking with flavorful fervor. The three-hour class will include two hours of cooking instruction making a four-course meal, followed by one hour of dining on the meal everyone just helped to create! The class is served red and white wine and Abita Amber Beer. Students get to bring home aprons and copies of the recipes.
