​The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) sent an email out recently regarding May being mental health awareness month. In their message, NIMH noted, “This past year has been overwhelming for many people. Mental Health Awareness Month is an important reminder to check in with ourselves and loved ones. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Good mental health helps you cope with stress and can improve your quality of life. Get tips and resources from NIMH to help take care of your mental health.”​​
