WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) today revealed Ageless Adventure as this year’s theme for National Assisted Living Week®. The annual, national observance –sponsored by PharMerica in 2025 – provides a unique opportunity for residents, their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and local communities to celebrate the individuals who live and work in assisted living and to learn more about this sector of long term care.
“There is an inherent desire for experience and adventure no matter what stage of life someone happens to be in,” said NCAL Executive Director LaShuan Bethea. “Assisted living utilizes person-centered care to support residents through their different ideas of adventure, allowing us to honor them in an exciting and unique way.”
Established by NCAL in 1995, National Assisted Living Week (NALW) will be held Sept. 7-13, 2025. Ageless Adventure encourages assisted living communities around the country to host a variety of events that honor the individuals who reside, work, and volunteer in these communities.
“PharMerica is thrilled to sponsor National Assisted Living Week in 2025,” said Lisa Bowen, PharMerica’s Vice President of Marketing. “This week offers a tremendous opportunity to learn about assisted living and the vibrant, enriching experiences offered. We cannot wait to see how communities across the country celebrate their own Ageless Adventure.”
The Ageless Adventure logo is available for download, and a variety of promotional materials for assisted living communities, stakeholders, and members of the public are now offered on the NALW website. Official NALW products, including themed gifts, giveaways, and decorations, will be available soon. In the coming months, NCAL will issue a planning guide to help celebrate Ageless Adventure. Participants should share their celebrations throughout the week on social media with the hashtag #NALW.
