Advocating Care Excellence

The NCAL 2011 Assisted Living Performance Measures Survey
Advocating Care Excellence

The National Center for Assisted Living is committed to quality and performance excellence in the assisted living profession. From the development of Guiding Principles for Quality to the creation of educational programs and Webinars, NCAL is leading its membership in the direction of care excellence. Successful quality initiatives raise the bar for resident satisfaction and quality of life and improve business performance.

Advocating Care Excellence is based upon the five principles found in NCAL’s Guiding Principles for Quality in Assisted Living:

  1. Person—centered caring
  2. Ethical practices and financial stewardship
  3. Mission and vision statements
  4. Quality improvement
  5. Workforce

NCAL’s Quality resources also include inservice training tools, listed below, for all levels of staff in assisted living communities. Copies of these training tools are complimentary to all NCAL members. To obtain copies for your community, please email Shelley Sabo or call at 202.898.2848.

To purchase assisted living training and educational resources, visit the NCAL Bookstore.
