Understanding Risk-Bearing Arrangements

Will Saunders, CEO, AllyAlign Health, Glen Allen, VA; Jared Landis, Director, The Advisory Board Company, Washington, DC

Federal and state policymakers are increasingly testing and implementing new payment and care delivery models to achieve high-value care at lower cost for all populations. Providers across the healthcare continuum, including post-acute care and long-term care providers, are being asked to deliver, and/or be at risk for, integrated care across the full range of Medicaid and Medicaid benefits. Many providers are interested in exploring risk-bearing arrangements, but are uncertain about whether they have the knowledge and infrastructure needed to successfully implement these arrangements. This session is designed to educate providers about various risk-bearing arrangements as well as the challenges and opportunities facing nursing facilities under such arrangements.

Provider Case Studies: Lessons Learned from Risk-Bearing Arrangements
