2013 National Assisted Living Week
September 8 – 14, 2013
Theme: Homemade Happiness
NCAL is proud to announce that a logo for our 2013 National Assisted Living Week theme, “Homemade Happiness” is now available! National Assisted Living Week (NALW), which will be celebrated during the week of September 8 – 14, 2013.
“Homemade Happiness” encompasses the connection that occurs in communities between the staff, residents, and families as they build warm, welcoming, and vibrant homes. Celebrating the passionate commitment of staff and friendships that form between residents, “Homemade Happiness” will be a time to recognize the efforts, small and large, of every individual in a community that turn a residence into home for countless assisted living residents. Join us in holding festive events that highlight the groundbreaking role our profession plays in caring for America’s seniors.
In the coming months, NCAL will issue a planning guide and product catalog centered on “Homemade Happiness.” The planning guide will contain ideas that tie into the theme which help providers create their celebration events. As NALW approaches visit NALW.org for updated information and resources.
About National Assisted Living Week®
Established by NCAL in 1995, National Assisted Living Week® provides a unique opportunity for residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding community to come together to share with our residents a variety of events and activities that show them how much we care for them. The 2013 theme, Homemade Happiness, will inspire creativity and participation and will grab the attention of local and national media. To make planning as easy as possible, a planning guide and product catalog is being developed, which will contain activity ideas, media kit materials, and products featuring the 2013 theme. Look for the guide in June.
