The focus of AHCA’s Quality First Initiative is on supporting the Quality First Agenda.
American Health Care Association members have a history of striving for quality and performance excellence, and in July 2002, the profession-wide initiative called Quality First was launched. Joining AHCA in the commitment to Quality First were the Alliance for Quality Nursing Home Care and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. Through this voluntary initiative, every AHCA member is united with long term care providers across the country in a single voice that articulates our promise and commitment to the American public and those we serve every day.
Quality First is a commitment to performance excellence in quality of care and quality of life by the long term care community. The voluntary initiative is a publicly articulated pledge on the part of the long term care profession to establish and meet quality improvement targets in order to heighten quality and accountability.
