Senator Catherine Cortez Masto serves on the Senate Finance Committee, where she works on the health care and Medicaid policy decisions that directly affect long term care providers nationwide. A former two-term Attorney General of Nevada, Cortez Masto spent years prosecuting financial fraud and protecting seniors before joining the Senate — experience that directly informs her work on health care and consumer protection policy today.

In the Senate, she has focused on expanding access to health care, strengthening protections for older Americans, and ensuring federal health care programs work for the people who depend on them. That record makes her a voice worth hearing for anyone working in long term care. 

She also serves on the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs; the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources; and the Committee on Indian Affairs. A Nevada native and the first Latina elected to the U.S. Senate, she earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law. She resides in Las Vegas with her husband, Paul.

Barry Carr is Chairman and Co-Founder of Ignite Medical Resorts; a company built on the belief that serious rehabilitation and an exceptional resident experience are not mutually exclusive. Before founding Ignite, he spent years growing NuCare Services from roughly 1,000 to nearly 5,000 beds. Randi Carr serves as Ignite's Chief of Staff and brings that same commitment to advocacy, engaging regularly with state and federal policymakers on behalf of residents and patients. Barry and Randi met at the University of Michigan and are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this year. It is fitting that an award rooted in compassion and service goes to two people who have made both a way of life.

The conference is complimentary and only open to AHCA/NCAL members and AHCA/NCAL associate business members. You will be asked to log in to your account before you can continue with registration.

Please note, Hill visits are reserved for provider members and event sponsors.

Special Accommodations and Dietary Needs

Conference registration includes Monday evening reception, Tuesday morning continental breakfast, and Tuesday afternoon off-site lunch. We do our best to include vegan and gluten-free options at each meal. If you require special accommodation or have special dietary needs, please note when completing your registration.

Packaged Kosher meals will be available only if requested as part of the registration process. A designated prayer room will also be available.

Cancellations and Substitutions

If you are no longer able to attend the conference, please contact meetings@ahca.org as soon as possible to cancel your registration or substitute a colleague.

Business attire is suitable for all sessions, receptions, and hill visits. Please remember to bring a sweater or jacket for air-conditioned rooms.

ROOM RATES & TAXES

Take advantage of our special group rate of $340 per night (single or double occupancy), plus 15.95% occupancy tax.

To secure the discounted rate, reservations must be made by May 6, 2026. Please note that the group rate is subject to availability and may sell out before the deadline. If the hotel or group rate appears sold out, we encourage you to check back, as room inventory may change.

Reservation requests received after May 6, 2026, will be accepted based on availability at the hotel’s prevailing rates. All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card and accompanied by a first-night room deposit.

HOTEL RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS

Reservations may be canceled without penalty up to 48 hours before 11:59 PM (local hotel time) on the day of arrival. Cancellations made after this deadline, as well as no-shows, will forfeit the first night’s room and tax.

When registering for any AHCA/NCAL committee meeting, conference, or convention, AHCA/NCAL staff cannot assist members, sponsors, or speakers with adding shoulder nights to hotel reservations. If a member, sponsor, or speaker wishes to add nights to their reservation, they must work directly with the hotel regarding availability and will be charged the prevailing rate for those nights.
