Build on the work of Thursday’s Studer workshop by engaging with your peers on areas in the workforce domain where successful ideas have been implemented to tackle staffing challenges.

We will provide succinct, targeted updates on key issues including the Resident Classification System (RCS), the new CMS Requirements of Participation, new survey process, and emergency preparedness.

Emerging Issues and Trends

In early January, the AHCA/NCAL Professional Development Work Group met to plan the AHCA/NCAL Annual Convention education programming. Stacey Hord, Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations, SavaSeniorCare shares the emerging trends and opportunities identified by the Work Group that could lead to new avenues of care and new issues to tackle. Some of the topics they raised include changing populations, medical marijuana, opioid crisis, and increasing acuity across the continuum. ​
