Assisted living embraces a philosophy of person-centered care while providing assistance with physical activities and health-related needs. Assisted living communities also strive to meet the cultural, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual well-being of residents.
NCAL remains focused on assisting providers meet the needs and continually improve the overall experience for their residents. The NCAL Customer Relations Committee works on these issues most pertinent to providers.
Additionally, NCAL's Quality Initiative includes a goal related to customer satisfaction, and the association has developed an industry standard resident and family satisfaction questionnaire called CoreQ. Members of NCAL can utilize this questionnaire and submit their results into LTC Trend Tracker to monitor their progress and compare their results to their assisted living peers.
