Facility & Community Tours Starting Off Strong in 2023

Advocacy; AHCA/NCAL Updates

AHCA/NCAL members across the country have reached out to their Members of Congress and are inviting them to see firsthand the joys and challenges in their facilities and communities. The Association has a goal of hosting 125 tours with Members of Congress in 2023. Although ambitious, it is important as LTC faces some of the greatest challenges in the sector’s history. Tours have already taken place in Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont, with more confirmed in the coming weeks.

Hosting a tour is a great opportunity for you to show decision makers the daily life at a skilled nursing facility, assisted living or ID/DD community. These tours make significant impacts on Members of Congress and help us in our advocacy work here in Washington, D.C. If you are interested in hosting a tour, please reach out to Matt Smyth or Heather Posthumus. They will walk you through the process, including crafting an invitation, tour preparations, and even on-site assistance, if needed.
