Let us Know If You’re an ANCC Board Certified RN Working in Skilled Nursing

Quality; Research and Data; Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF); AHCA/NCAL Updates

AHCA/NCAL is updating past research examining how key quality indicators are impacted when nursing facilities employ at least one RN who currently is ANCC Board Certified in gerontological nursing.

Participation is easy. All AHCA researchers need is the name and address of your facility. That's it! Research findings are aggregated, and your facility will not be identified in the study.

To include your facility in the study, please email your facility’s name and address (street address, city, state, zip) and the number of ANCC Board certified RNs your facility employs to dkyllo@ahca.org. SNFs need only to employ one FT/PT ANCC Board certified gerontological RN to be included in the study.

Research conducted in 2016 and 2019 by AHCA showed that nursing facilities with at least one board certified RN had better outcomes in several areas. Since that time, more RNs have become ANCC Board certified in gerontological nursing and others have moved on to different facilities. AHCA is building a new list of facilities to use as an updated comparison group.

Thanks for your help!
