Proof of Vaccination and Masking Now Required to Attend AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo

AHCA/NCAL Convention; Events

We value the health, safety and well-being of our members and the residents they care for above all else. We have been closely monitoring the evolving situation with COVID-19 and the Delta variant, CDC guidance, and current Prince George’s County (MD) mandates. Based on these factors, the following health and safety protocol updates have been made to the 72nd AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.

All those attending in person will be required to:
  1. Provide proof you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be considered fully vaccinated, you must be two weeks past your second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna) or two weeks past a single-dose vaccine (J&J/Janssen).
  2. Wear a mask while in a public, indoor setting during any Convention & Expo event, including all common areas, meeting rooms and event spaces.
In the coming weeks we will share step-by-step instructions on how you can provide vaccination proof via a secure, HIPAA compliant online tool. Please note that only those who provide proof of full vaccination prior to participation in any Convention & Expo activities will be able to participate in-person.

In the meantime, should you have any questions about this policy update, or if you wish to discuss accommodations for special circumstances (i.e., medical or religious), please direct your inquiries to meetings@ahca.org.

If you cannot or choose not to comply with these requirements, we encourage you to consider these alternatives no later than September 24, 2021:

  1. Curated Virtual Content Registration Package: Earn up to 8.5 CEs with this option. It gives you access to our general sessions, the Quality Awards Ceremony, and a selection of hot topic and relevant education sessions. Sessions will be live-streamed from the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center and/or released on-demand to view at your convenience, Monday, October 11th through Wednesday, October 13th. If you are already registered, you can credit your paid registration fee towards the cost of this package and receive a refund for the balance.

  2. If currently registered, transfer your registration to a colleague who can meet the requirements.

  3. If currently registered, request a full refund.

Should you wish to exercise any of the options listed, contact meetings@ahca.org. Please note the vaccination proof requirement in your message subject as the reason for your registration change. After September 24, 2021, registration package changes, transfers, or refunds cannot be accepted.

If you have not yet registered, our Advance rate registration ends September 24, 2021. For more information on available registration packages and pricing, please visit our Convention & Expo Registration page.

Please check our Convention & Expo COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols page frequently for updates, leading up to the event dates.

Every day, we are inspired by your compassion, tenacity, and resilience. It is our aim to welcome you to a safe environment at National Harbor this October to reunite and engage with your friends and peers. Together we will continue to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care.
