WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2026 honor by WTOP News. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner,
Energage, LLC. The confidential survey measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
“This recognition as a top workplace speaks to the strong culture our team has built through their hard work, collaboration, and shared commitment to our mission of improving lives by delivering solutions for quality care,"
said Clif Porter, President and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “We work each day to create a workplace where employees feel respected, encouraged, and equipped to succeed and grow in their careers. We are honored to receive this recognition and proud to stand alongside other organizations that have built a positive and rewarding work environment."
This is the 10th year that AHCA/NCAL has received Top Workplaces recognition, which was formerly issued in partnership with The Washington Post. It is one of 117 organizations with fewer than 150 employees in the Greater Washington, D.C., area to be recognized as 'Top Workplaces' in 2026.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees," said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they're allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends."
