 Provider Assessments

Congress has proposed using savings from a reduction in the Medicaid provider assessment to offset subsidies to the Stafford student loan program. The current proposal reduces the Medicaid provider assessment threshold from 6 percent to 5.5 percent, beginning on July 1, 2012.  While Congress must find ways to reduce federal spending and fund a wide variety of programs, it should consider more productive methods to encourage efficiency in federal health programs, rather than arbitrarily cutting important programs.

AHCA has created several materials to help you send a strong message to your lawmakers regarding this issue. Check out the interactive map below for details about the impact in your state, and visit this page frequently for updates.
