Be Sure to Attend a Day for NFP Providers at Convention

nfp day.pngAHCA/NCAL’s constituency education program for NFP providers will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, in San Diego and is packed with motivational and educational speakers. 

The keynote speaker, Dr. Steven Taubman (pictured), is a bestselling author and world-class speaker who has dedicated his life to showing people how to thrive through their challenges. He’s written extensively on the application of contemplative practices in stressful situations and has spoken worldwide on mindset mastery for goal-oriented and helping professionals.  Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from other top-notch speakers. To learn more about this day, please don’t hesitate to contact AHCA’s Senior Director of NFP & Constituent Services, Dana Halvorson.

 

2018 NFP Trustee of the Year & Program of the Year Award Recipients 
The AHCA/NCAL Trustee of the Year award will be presented in San Deigo to Steven Craig from Chaparral House in Berkeley, Calif. The award recognizes a trustee who demonstrates several key attributes, including a commitment to faithfully executing the functions of the board, fostering effective board practices, showing a passion toward the organization’s mission, and, lastly, being willing to devote the time and energy necessary to be successful.  

The NFP Program of the Year will be awarded to Exceptional Care for Children Magical Journey in Newark, De. The Not for Profit Program of the Year award highlights a specific program that adds value to the care of individuals within a community.
