The 2023 first quarter edition of Your Top Line is available for skilled nursing members. This edition includes a new analysis on how many additional nurse staffing hours it would take for your center to provide 4.1 hours per resident day (HPRD). You can use this analysis and other
facts about an unfunded staffing mandate to help inform CMS what a 4.1 HPRD staffing requirement would mean to your center and its residents and families.

Use it to See What Deficiencies Under Dispute Are Posted on Care Compare
Starting on January 25, 2023, deficiencies under informal dispute resolution (IDR) or independent informal dispute resolution (IIDR) are being posted publicly on Care Compare.
CMS announced this change with the aim of increasing transparency to consumers. Deficiencies under dispute will not impact Five-Star ratings until the dispute is resolved. CMS will update Care Compare the last week of every month with the latest survey data available.
Currently, 436 (3%) of providers have deficiencies under IDR or IIDR posted on Care Compare. If your center is one of these providers, the surveys and deficiencies under dispute will show on page two of Your Top Line.
Use it to Set Your Newest Quality Measure Goals
Quality measures rates up to September 2022 (2022 Q3) were released on January 25. Page five of Your Top Line shows how each individual measure contributes to your Five-Star Quality rating and what the rate needs to be to earn more points and receive a higher rating.
