AHCA, along with a coalition of over 100 groups representing physicians, practitioners, and other providers that furnish services under the Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule (PFS), again called on Congressional leaders to take action to prevent payment cuts. There are scheduled 4.5 percent payment cuts scheduled for January 1, 2023, as announced in the recent
PFS Final Rule.
In a
letter to Congressional leadership, the coalition, representing over one million clinicians and providers, urged for the relief in end-of-year legislation until permanent reforms are made to the payment model. The existing payment model does not currently account for inflation.
