Changes Affect SNF Ownership Disclosures and Payment Accounts Beginning December 2022
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) provided a
summary of updated provider enrollment instructions for Medicare providers, including SNFs. Specifically, it summarizes changes in Chapter 10 of the Medicare Program Integrity Manual instructions pertaining to:
- Ownership disclosures
- Electronic funds transfers (EFTs)
- Special payment addresses
The Effective Date and Implementation for these additional changes is December 5, 2022, and are detailed in
CMS Transmittal R11682PI Change Request 12880 issued on November 4, 2022. These changes affect SNF ownership disclosures and payment accounts.
AHCA recommends that SNF administrative and billing staff review the changes in a
summary developed by AHCA.
