U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy is calling for stories about personal experiences related to health misinformation through the COVID-19 pandemic. Health misinformation – information that is false, inaccurate, or misleading according to the best available evidence at the time – poses an urgent threat to public health. The speed, scale, and sophistication with which misinformation has spread during the COVID-19 pandemic has been unprecedented.
This Request for Information (RFI) will contribute to a greater understanding of how to respond to the threat of health misinformation. Information can be submitted via form at
