Complete Health Information Technology Survey by September 1, 2023

Research and Data; Survey and Certification

AHCA/NCAL was recently asked to share information about an important Health Information Technology (HIT) survey by September 1, 2023. The purpose of the survey is to better understand the work being done to improve interoperability across the spectrum of care, particularly in long-term post-acute care settings (LTPAC), including nursing facilities and assisted living residences.

John Derr, RPh, FASCP (Past Executive Vice President of AHCA/NCAL) and Terry O’Malley, MD (Harvard) two past members of the HITECH Federal Advisory Committees and others have put together a short survey created by the joint Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) LTPAC and Interoperability Sub-Committee to help gather background and feedback for HIMSS on this topic with an aim to:

  • Perform an environmental scan of the work being done to improve LTPAC interoperability across the spectrum of care
  • Explore the LTPAC interoperability obstacles your organization has encountered
  • Understand plans for future improvements to address LTPAC interoperability

AHCA/NCAL encourages members to take five minutes to complete the questionnaire using the link below so that the sector is adequately represented in the survey results:

Should the HIMSS committees decide to publish the results of this questionnaire, the data will only be reported in aggregate and all responses will remain anonymous. We ask that you please complete the questionnaire by September 1, 2023.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact John Derr at jfderr@mac.com.
