With the upcoming congressional breaks in August and October, this is the perfect time to invite your Member of Congress (MOC) to tour your facility or community. Facility and community tours are a great opportunity to showcase the quality care you provide and the unique elements of your day-to-day to your elected officials.
It is important to remember that tours with Congressional staff members can be just as impactful as with a MOC. The opportunity to show a Member of Congress or their staff the daily operations of and care for your community is an invaluable one in our continued efforts to enact positive change for the long term care profession.
AHCA/NCAL has set a goal of 150 tours in 2026, with a continued focus on regulatory relief and the LTC workforce. These issues continue to be top priorities as we head towards the end of the year.
To help achieve the goal of 150 tours, AHCA/NCAL is here to help. Please reach out to
Heather Posthumus or
Ubaldo Martin for assistance coordinating a tour with your MOC or their staff.
