CoreQ Measures Receive Re-Endorsement from the National Quality Forum (NQF)

Quality

AHCA/NCAL is excited to announce that the National Quality Forum (NQF) has re-endorsed all three CoreQ measures that were up for required measure maintenance:

  • SNCC Short Stay Discharge Measure
  • SNCC Long-Stay Resident Measure
  • SNCC Long-Stay Family Measure

CoreQ is a set of five measures for skilled nursing care centers (SNCC) and assisted living (AL) communities to use to assess satisfaction among patients, residents, and their families. Based on a core set of customer satisfaction questions, CoreQ measures allow consistent measurement across long term and post-acute care settings. For additional information on CoreQ including the questions and scale please visit our CoreQ website

NQF endorsement is important because it shows the credibility of the CoreQ measure in the eyes of policy makers or other stakeholders. Re-endorsement of these three measures shows that NQF continues to see our measures as valid and reliable. We have National Quality Forum (NQF) endorsement for all five CoreQ measures. Our assisted living measures will be up for re-endorsement in 2022.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, customer satisfaction remains an objective measure of the quality of care provided in your facility/community. If you have questions on how your state or facility can effectively use CoreQ, please reach out to us at coreq@ahca.org. Remember to ask your customer satisfaction vendor to add CoreQ to your customer satisfaction surveys and upload your data directly to LTC Trend Tracker
