Last week, a federal judge in Washington D.C. blocked the Trump Administration's attempt to end the TPS program for approximately 350,000 Haitian migrants, noting it is unlawful. On February 6, the Trump administration filed an emergency appeal of the federal judge’s ruling. The government attorney also filed an appeal of her ruling with the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. The work permits for these individuals are still valid and until decided otherwise as this now continues through the legal system. AHCA/NCAL will keep its members informed of any relevant updates relating to this matter.
