MFAR Withdrawn from the Federal Register

​The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Seema Verma recently announced that the proposed Medicaid Fiscal Accountability Rule (MFAR) has been withdrawn from the federal register. The proposed rule, originally issued on November 11, 2019, would have severely restricted how states finance their Medicaid programs and negatively impacted access to care. Thousands of long term care providers from across the country submitted comments to CMS on the rule's negative impact.​
