WASHINGTON, D.C. The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) has received two awards in the 47th Annual Telly Awards. The Association’s “Quality Award Opener” video earned Silver in the General-Not-For-Profit category; “Perspectives: Heart of a Servant
video earned bronze in the General-Documentary category. The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by professionals from across entertainment, including video platforms, television studios, streaming networks, and production companies.

“We’re incredibly proud of our AHCA/NCAL team for the creativity, passion, and heart they bring to every project,” said Clif Porter, president and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “These videos reflect the mission of our work: capturing the kindness, resilience, and humanity that is at the center of long term care. We are grateful to the many people who contributed to these projects and, above all, to the residents, families, staff, and members whose stories continue to inspire our work.”

The “Quality Award Opener” video showcases the commitment, hard work, and ongoing reflection that long term care facilities across the nation must invest when they choose to pursue an AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award. This year, the program is celebrating its 30th anniversary and the more than 8,000 facilities that have reaffirmed their commitment to quality care through the program since its inception in 1996.

“Perspectives: Heart of a Servant” is a deep and introspective look at the mission, staff, and care provided at Mountain View Nursing Home, a Mennonite-run facility in Aroda, VA. The 40-bed, Medicaid-only nursing home is primarily operated by volunteers who live on the Mountain View campus, prioritize servant leadership, and create moments of dignity for every resident at every step of their long term care journey. Administrator Ryan Hoover will share more about the spirit of the community as a keynote speaker at the upcoming Delivering Solutions 26, the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo, in October.

"Video has never been more contested, more creative, or more consequential than it is right now,” shares Amanda Needham, managing director of The Telly Awards. “The Telly Awards has had a front-row seat to this industry for 47 years, and today’s entertainment is happening in multiple formats, across every screen, and at every budget level."

With over 13,000 entries from across the globe and top video and television content producers, winners were chosen by The Telly Awards Judging Council, which features more than 250 experts across the world of video.
