As the second session of the 119th Congress prepares for a year of highly contested midterm elections, AHCA/NCAL is advancing its advocacy efforts through multiple avenues. We continue to prioritize face-to-face interactions with legislators through DC Fly-Ins and facility and community tours. We also continue to provide advocacy resources, including a consistently updated Bill Tracker and Issue Briefs, both located on the AHCA/NCAL Advocacy webpage.
Congress has recently introduced a number of key Long Term Care Bills, many of which seek to improve Medicare Advantage Plans’ issues regarding Prompt Pay and Prior Authorization. AHCA/NCAL continues to monitor these and express support when possible.
In February, several AHCA/NCAL members are scheduled to visit Washington, D.C. to engage with their Members of Congress on key long term care issues. Those interested in participating in a DC Fly-In Day are encouraged to make arrangements now.
The AHCA/NCAL team is available to assist in coordinating your visits and ensuring productive engagements. For more information or to schedule your participation, please contact
