We began June with strong momentum as more than 700 AHCA/NCAL members gathered in Washington, D.C. for Congressional Briefing, held June 9–10. This year’s event came at a critical time, with the Reconciliation process underway, and our members rose to the occasion—visiting over 250 Congressional offices to advocate for long term care. While Congressional Briefing was a tremendous success, our advocacy work continues. Now is the ideal time to invite your Member of Congress to tour your facility or community. With the August Congressional recess approaching, these tours offer a powerful opportunity to demonstrate the quality care we provide and the ongoing challenges we face.
Facility and community tours allow legislators to witness firsthand the compassionate care delivered every day and better understand the impact of federal policy on providers and residents alike.
