- Keynote: Dr. Lee Fleisher will kick off Quality Summit with an update from the Clinical Standards and Quality division of CMS.

Resilience: The Power to Change the Story: In this powerful talk, Mike Hensley, co-owner of Burgess Square Healthcare Centre, an independent nursing facility in Illinois, will share how he and his staff overcame a tsunami of barriers before and during the pandemic that led to transformational victories, including earning a 2020 National Gold Quality Award.
Success is the Product of Daily Habits: Maryruth Butler, president of Cascadia Healthcare North in Idaho, Montana, and Washington, will share how daily habits drive and sustain success that enables organizations to be resilient in turbulent times, the challenge of engaging new leaders, and lessons learned.
- Keynote: Jerald Cosey, a senior health care leader, patient advocate, will close out the event with his keynote address, What's Next? The Power of COVID Conviction to Advance Senior Healthcare Leadership.
30 Sessions Focused on Workforce, Clinical, Survey and the Baldrige Criteria: Quality Summit will also offer 30 sessions on topics focused on leadership, recruitment and retention, infection prevention and PDPM with a special focus on the Baldrige Criteria, the foundation of the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. - Workforce: PHI will discuss the current state of the direct care workforce and share practical lessons, best practices, and strategies that help expand targeted recruitment and center a culture of retention to disrupt the cycle of turnover and stabilize direct care staffing. This and five other workforce sessions will address leadership, building trust among staff, residents and families, strategic planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, and more.
- Clinical: In clinical practice sessions, attendees will learn how they can use Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) to drastically improve your business, discuss trauma informed care and how to operationalize to patient care, and explain how to review your community's data to lay out a plan to utilize huddles to drive quality improvement.
- Survey: Choose from four different sessions focusing on current national trends in emergency operations plan review, survey activity, citations, and severity. The sessions will discuss the high priority areas of focus identified by CMS, as well as demonstrate methods and tools that a facility leader can utilize in their day-to-day processes to help focus on individualized survey priorities and share tools and resources to prepare for a potential OSHA inspection.
