Nothing communicates the needs of the long term care profession better than a visit to a facility or community! No one tells our story better than staff and residents, and we’ve seen time and again the impact these visits have had on Members of Congress.
With the August Congressional Recess starting, this is the perfect time to get Members of Congress into facilities and communities. Congress will also have additional time during the month of October for more district work ahead of this year’s midterm elections, offering another opportunity to show them the day-to-day experiences of being in long term care.
As we push towards AHCA/NCAL’s goal of 150 tours in 2026, we want to say thank you to all who have participated in a tour so far. Your continued advocacy efforts have helped in achieving our goals on key issues like Medicare Advantage. Through your hard work, we have seen an increase in co-sponsors and continued positive action in several pieces of legislation that AHCA/NCAL has endorsed.
