CoreQ Measures Receive PQM Re-Endorsement

Quality; Long Term Care; AHCA/NCAL Updates

AHCA/NCAL is pleased to announce that in early August, the Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM) re-endorsed the following three CoreQ measures as part of required measure maintenance:

  • SNF Short-Stay Discharge Measure

  • SNF Long-Stay Resident Measure

  • SNF Long-Stay Family Measure

CoreQ is a set of five measures that skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and assisted living (AL) communities can use to assess satisfaction among patients, residents, and their families. Based on a core set of customer satisfaction questions, CoreQ enables consistent measurement across long -term and post-acute care settings. For more information, including the CoreQ questions and scoring scale, please visit the CoreQ website

PQM endorsement demonstrates that CoreQ measures meet recognized standards for quality measurement and reinforces their credibility among policymakers and other stakeholders. The re-endorsement of these three measures confirms their continued validity and reliability. All five CoreQ measures are currently endorsed by PQM, and the assisted living measures are scheduled for re-endorsement in 2029.

Customer satisfaction is an important indicator of the quality of care and services provided by your facility or community. If you have questions about how your state or organization can effectively use CoreQ, please contact coreq@ahca.org

Remember to ask your customer satisfaction vendor to include CoreQ in your surveys and upload your data directly to LTC Trend Tracker. If you do not have a customer satisfaction vendor, please visit the CoreQ website for additional information.
