Has Your Community Joined the LTC Data Cooperative?

Assisted Living; Research and Data

The Long Term Care (LTC) Data Cooperative, supported by the National Institute on Aging (NIA), is a national, provider-led initiative that assembles electronic health record (EHR) data on behalf of assisted living providers. This data is a vital component of improving quality of care and services in senior living communities.

As a senior living provider in the assisted living space, you cannot afford to miss this opportunity to join your colleagues across the country. With more organizations joining, we will have:
  1. An assessment on how clinical information is documented in an EHR, to guide opportunities to increase use of data to monitor outcomes.
  1. Data on medication use, hospital transfers, vaccinations, and more - for those communities that document in their EHR - that tell the story of the acuity of residents and care we provide.
  1. Information to guide future quality achievements.
  1. An opportunity to work with researchers who want to use this data to evaluate what works in assisted living.
Enrollment occurs at the corporate or organizational level and includes all affiliated assisted living communities that share the same EHR contract.

As we expand assisted living enrollment in the LTC Data Cooperative, we are asking you to join your peers from across the country and lead the way. Your participation signals the importance of this effort and helps build trust and momentum among new providers. By enrolling now, you help shape the future of data-driven care in assisted living.
