How to Access Important CMS Reports in iQIES

​On April 17, 2023, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) transitioned from the Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (QIES) to Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) Reports User Manual (iQIES). Access to MDS submissions and several important reports (including MDS, QM, QRP, VBP, Non-Compliance letters) will now occur in the iQIES system. For a brief period, there will be some reports still available in QIES. The following table outlines report availability on QIES and iQIES.

  • Did not migrate into the new system. 
  • Permanently unavailable in QIES effective 4/13/23 but can be accessed in iQIES 
  • Available to access and run from April 17, 2023, forward 
  • Available to request from 1/1/13 onward

Non-Compliance Notification Letters 

  • Available in QIES until Summer 2023* 
  • Before Summer 2023*, download and save any reports for time periods prior to 10/1/2021 
  • Available to request from 10/1/21 onward
