Using the Silver Criteria, we were able to identify and assess our key processes. After nearly three years of “pandemic panic" and all the challenges we were faced with, from fear for our residents to keeping up with the ever-changing requirements and staffing issues, it was such a validating experience to realize that we have consistently stayed true to our mission through it all. We exist to enhance the lives of those we serve, and, above all, we will keep our residents first. <div><br></div><div>In the midst of dealing with day-to-day issues, especially during COVID, it can be easy to overlook the good things. There were SO MANY good things! Of course, we also found opportunities! So, we made a list, prioritized the ones that were most important, and created action plans. We have now resumed all Customer and Employee survey processes that had been temporarily suspended, enhanced our Key Performance Measure, and created a Back-to-Basics Leadership training model to ensure our leader focus and facility approaches are anchored on a solid Quality foundation. However, none of it would have been possible without routine staff. We were able to eliminate agency usage in July 2022 and have held a turnover rate that is below the national average.
