Careers in Aging: Amanda Hochstetler, LPN and Clinical Coordinator

Careers In Aging Week; Workforce

Amanda started her career at Hyden Health and Rehab in July of 2004 as a CNA. While working part time as a nurse aid on night shift, she attended LPN school during the day.  When Amanda graduated, she began working as a full time supervising staff nurse on night shift.

In the nearly 17 years that she has been with the facility she has proven that she has exceptional communication skills.  She is able to build a rapport with her residents and many of the staff members.  In March of 2018 Amanda was promoted to Clinical Coordinator overseeing two units.  She is also the lead of the Quality Assurance and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement teams. She is able to think outside of the box for difficult situations and is able to develop customized solutions for those issues.

Amanda’s analytic skills, organizational abilities, and extraordinary work ethic have proven her to be a tremendous asset to her facility and the geriatric/long term care profession.
