The bipartisan housing package, the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act (H.R. 6644), is pending reconciliation of House and Senate versions before the bill can be signed into law by the President. As noted in previous NCAL communications, NCAL, ASHA, and Argentum have collectively noted concerns on a section of the bill that imposes limits on large institutional investment in the purchase of single-family homes. This coalition continues to talk with key policymakers and staff regarding the impact to our industry and our request for clarifying language. NCAL will keep its members informed of any relevant updates.
